Fluoroquinolones (Generic) ELISA

The fluoroquinolone ELISA (generic test) is used for the screening and quantitative analysis of a broad group of fluoroquinolone antibiotics in tissue (shrimps, fish, chicken muscle), egg, honey, feed, serum and urine samples.
The kit uses a polyclonal rabbit antibody which shows the following cross-reactivities: norfloxacin (100%), enrofloxacin (92%), ciprofloxacin (124%), nadifloxacin (85%), pefloxacin (70%), enoxacin (57%), lomefloxacin (40%), ofloxacin (18%), danofloxacin (89%), fleroxacin (40%), marbofloxacin (16%), sarafloxacin (4%), difloxacin (1%), levofloxacin (3%),gatifloxacin (5%), oxolinic acid (57%), piromidic acid (62%), flumequine (2%), pazufloxacin (1%), cinoxacin (<0.1%), tosufloxacin (<0.1%), and nalidixic acid (<0.1%).
The limit of detection (LOD) is 12 ng/g for tissue (method I extraction), 0.3 ng/g for tissue (method II extraction), 6 ng/g for egg (extraction), 0.5 ng/g for whole egg and muscle (SPE extraction), 3 ng/g for milk (dilution), 2 ng/g for honey (dilution), 2.5 ng/g for serum (dilution), 5 ng/g for feed (extraction), and 7 ng/g for urine samples (dilution).
