The kit uses a polyclonal rabbit antibody which shows the following cross-reactivities: sulfaquinoxaline (100%). The cross-reactivity of each of ten other sulfonamides, i.e. sulfamethazine, sulfadiazine, sulfadimethoxine, sulfadoxine, sulfaguanidine, sulfamethoxazole, sulfamethoxydiazine, sulfapyridine, sulfathiazole, and sulfatroxazole is <0.1%.
The limit of detection (LOD) is 10 ng/g for tissue (homogenisation and dilution), 2 ng/g for tissue (extraction), and 8 ng/g for urine samples (dilution).
